The Heart Skull is the image that started as a personal drawing in 2001 — a Toothbrush Theory work created by Jeffery Page representing the balance between the two things that define every human life: love and hate, life and death. The heart and the skull. The thing that keeps you alive and the thing that waits for everything.

The original drawing was owned by a dear friend. An amazing person. An artist. Lost to cancer in 2021 after years of carrying this image — Jeffery’s image, made for and owned by someone who understood exactly what it meant. When she passed, Jeffery offered the Heart Skull outside its previous forms — beyond stickers and pins — for the first time. In her memory.

That is what this image is. That is what this tee carries.

It is not a logo in the commercial sense. It is a statement about the two things that are always true simultaneously — that you love something and that you will lose it. That the heart and the skull are the same organ at different times. That the most honest thing any artist can put on a shirt is the tension between the thing you feel most deeply and the thing you cannot avoid.
