ADHD-Friendly Recipe: Coconut Curry Chickpea Bowl
This simple, flavorful dish is rich in protein, healthy fats, and fiber—all of which help balance blood sugar and boost brain function.
Ingredients:
1 can chickpeas (drained and rinsed)
½ cup coconut milk
1 tbsp curry powder
½ tsp turmeric
1 cup spinach
1 clove garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Brown rice or quinoa (for serving)
Directions:
Sauté garlic and spices in a bit of oil, add chickpeas and coconut milk. Simmer for 10 minutes. Toss in spinach until wilted. Serve over rice or quinoa.

In 1913, Death Valley recorded a sweltering 134°F (56.7°C). It’s both an extreme landscape and an ecological wonder of California. The desert is a dangerous place. I know for I have lived there. Just not Death Valley. Even if all deserts are dangerous.

During full moons in spring and summer, silvery fish called grunions beach themselves to spawn. You can legally catch them by hand—how very L.A.
Living in Hermosa, Redondo and Manhattan Beaches I did experience this run of grunions…Late 90’s.

Cryptid Corner: The Loveland Frogman (Ohio) First sighted in the 1950s, this 4-foot-tall humanoid frog has been seen walking on two legs near the Little Miami River. Police reports in the ’70s claimed sightings involving sparks and strange smells. Urban legend? Amphibian oddity? Only Ohio knows.
